- This Yarn used to be an unwanted sweater that I've taken apart and re-spun by hand. It's excited to have the chance for a second life in your next project!
- Working with recycled sweater yarn is exceptional because it tends to be softer and more pleasurable to work with, (and to wear!) than regular yarn due to the tenderizing it received during its previous life. It's a great option for makers of all skill levels!
- 10% of all Recycled Yarn Proceeds are donated to FAB Scrap to help keep more unwanted textiles out of Landfills.

How Was This Yarn Recycled?
How Was This Yarn Recycled?
Each sweater I recycle is first Machine Washed and Dried before I lovingly take it apart, careful to save as much of the yarn as possible.
What sets my Recycled Yarn apart from others is the re-spinning process: I re-spin the yarn on my Louet S15 spinning wheel to refresh the twist, and make the yarn feel like new!
I then wash the yarn once more to set the twist, and to ensure a truly gratifying craft experience for you!

Craft with a Conscience!
I am so passionate about environmental conservation that I donate 10% of all Recycled Yarn proceeds to FABSCRAP, a non-profit organization dedicated to repurposing textile waste and keeping it out of our landfills.
FABSCRAP recycles commercial textile waste into useable scraps for purchase, and repurposes the rest to create insulation, carpet padding, furniture lining, and moving blankets. You can learn more about their organization by clicking HERE.
