One Skein Fingerless Mitts Pattern

Since my yarn comes in 50g skeins, I always get the question: 

"What can I do with just one skein?"

This pattern is the answer!

It's also a great way to use up smaller bits of yarn in your stash.  They're quick to make, and they also make wonderful gifts!

- This listing is for the pattern only, no yarn or needles are included.

- The 'One Skein Fingerless Mitts' pattern will fit almost all Adult Women's hands.

- This Pattern is knit in the round. You can use a circular knitting needle for the Magic Loop Method (recommended) or you can use 4 Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

- Knitting skill Level - Beginner to Intermediate.

- To complete this pattern, knitters must be able to:

          - Knit in the round.

          - Increase stitches by knitting into the front and back of a stitch (kfb).

          - Decrease stitches by knitting 2 stitches together.  This pattern uses both k2tog - knitting 2 stitches together for a right-leaning decrease, and ssk - or (slip, slip, knit) knitting 2 stitches together for a left-leaning decrease.

          - Be able to cast on, knit, purl, pick up stitches, and bind off.

This is a no-sew knitting pattern, all you need to do is cast on, knit, pick up stitches, bind off, and weave in your ends.

Pattern Specifics:

Gauge:

24 sts = 4" in Stockinette stitch

Yarn:

- 1 skein of at least 100 yards (38-45g) from Clarion Call Fiber Arts.

- Dk weight recommended, but this pattern will work with any yarn that is 11-13 WPI.  What's WPI?  Click here for more info--->

Needles:

 - 1 set of 4 US #5 Double Pointed Knitting Needles (or size that achieves gauge).

 - 1 US #5 Circular Knitting Needle of at least 36"-40" (or size that achieves gauge) for Magic Loop Method.

Notions Required:

- 2 Stitch Holders, each at least 3" wide to hold up to 21 stitches.

- 1 Large, Blunt Sewing Needle to weave in ends.

- 1 Stitch Marker, if desired.
